Quick start.
Eight steps, in order. Each one unlocks the next item on your dashboard checklist. Total: about 25 minutes of clicking, plus whatever time you spend on brand voice.
Open Settings, find the Business mailing address card, paste your full address — street, suite, city, province, postal code, country — and click Save changes. A “Mailing address saved ✓” toast confirms it’s done.
Canadian anti-spam law requires the sender’s physical address on every commercial email and SMS. Tenlo enforces this in code — sends are blocked until the address is saved. Do it now so you don’t hit a wall at Step 5.
Click Connect Google Business Profile, sign in with the Google account that owns the listing, and approve the permission. You’ll return to the dashboard and see connected. Existing reviews import in 1–2 minutes.
A customer Google account won’t carry the business.manage permission Tenlo needs. The connection either fails or attaches to the wrong listing — and is a pain to undo.
Two fields:
- Tone description — 1–2 sentences on how you’d want a reply to read. Direct, warm, technical, conversational — be specific.
- Sign-off — how every reply ends. ”— The [Business] Team” or just your first name.
Or click Analyse my reviews to let Tenlo read your existing replies and draft a tone description for you to edit.
Human-edited replies feed the brand-voice analyser first. The more you tweak AI drafts before approving, the faster Tenlo learns to sound like you.
Go to Campaigns → Templates → New template. Write your review-request message. Use {{contact.first_name}} to personalise the opening. Tenlo will lint the template on save and flag any missing required tokens.
See Message templates & A/B testing for the full token reference.
Click New campaign, give it a name, choose your template, and set a trigger:
- Manual — you fire it when you’re ready.
- Scheduled — runs at a fixed time (e.g. every Friday at 10am).
- Webhook — fires when your CRM or booking system sends a signal.
See Campaigns for full trigger documentation.
Add your own email or phone number as a contact, click Send test, and verify the message arrives and looks right. Check that the review link opens the correct Google listing.
Decide which reviews auto-post and which come to you for approval. The recommended starting point:
| Rating | Default action |
|---|---|
| 5 stars | Auto-post after 24h |
| 4 stars | Auto-post after 24h |
| 3 stars | Human queue |
| 1–2 stars | Human queue (always) |
Adjust the Auto-post delay if you want a window to catch anything before it goes live.
Toggle your campaign from Draft to Active. The dashboard checklist ticks to complete. You’re live.
Reviews left after your connection are fetched once daily at 09:00 UTC. A review posted at 10:00 AM may not appear in your inbox until the following morning.
